At Picture of Hope Counseling Services I understand that the journey of life comes with many ups and downs. I support you in bringing you to a place of hope, no matter the circumstances in your life.
who I help
I primarily provide individual therapy for adults 18 and over who may be struggling with things such as anxiety or depression during pregnancy, adjustment to postpartum, or the general stress of motherhood. I help mothers feel supported and can provide resources to help them build their village.
What Treatment Looks Like
Each person presents his/her own unique life stressors. What works for one person may not work for another. To begin we request clients are able to commit to weekly sessions in order to become comfortable with one another and the therapeutic process. This allows time to learn helpful coping skills to use in between sessions. Treatment approaches are tailored to each individual depending on what a person's needs and goals are. Examples of commonly used treatment approaches are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness. We include a person's strengths into goals and treatment in order help him/her build upon what is already present.
